A proper old school pub. Cracking selection of ales and spirits and even a pool table and dart board. Real lovely place.
My first visit here. Very friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Good selection of ales and ciders. Discovered a quiz night was just about to start so joined in and was made to feel very welcome, even extra stools brought over for us! Would definitely recommend
Nice relaxing couple of pints, pork scratchings just for that good phat kick! Good for conversations with your friends.
This establishment is a mecca for Real Ale drinkers. Cosy back street pub. Friendly, staff and locals, 11 hand pumps for real ale, key keg craft ales, large range of ciders and gins plus everything else one would expect from a popular public house. All this is possible due to an enthusiastic, energetic and community orientated landlord. (Not a relative I hasten to add).
This is my favourite pub for a beer or two. They keep the ale in perfect condition here and have a vast selection of non-mainstream/unusual beers as well as cask ales too. Very friendly. No kitchen so it smells like a proper pub too. Darts and a pool table, just back from the seafront. Perfect.
